Our History

Our History

What began as a business for modular home sales in 1972 has since developed into a full-service construction company. It’s thanks to Fuzzy and Peggy that we’ve been able to come so far, as they were the ones who laid the groundwork for a company dedicated to prioritizing quality construction and customer satisfaction.

It started in Prairie du Rocher, IL

In 1972, Donald “Fuzzy” Nevois and his wife, Peggy, established Nevois Construction. They began by selling modular homes in Prairie du Rocher, then moved the business to Ruma in 1976. During this time, they established the basis for what Nevois Construction would become: a shining example of how integrity and quality can join together in the real estate market. Rodney and Kim Nevois purchased the company from Fuzzy and Peggy in 1992 and brought the company into a new era.

A company of modern quality

Now, Nevois Construction employs 5 to 10 full-time carpenters affiliated with the St. Louis District Council of Carpenters and the Southern Illinois Laborers. Our crew builds 10 to 15 homes each year, both in our own properties and client-owned lots.

In 2003, we established our first subdivision, Hidden Oaks, and then Fieldstone in 2008. We’ve also worked on a variety of commercial properties, including office buildings, hospitals, and restaurants to name a few. With a 50-mile radius within Illinois from Red Bud, we’re happy to help anyone looking for high-quality, affordable construction.
